Dear Colleagues,
As the Scientific Director of European School of Radiology (ESOR), I welcome you at the first ESOR course in India, which will be held in Kolkata, November 15-16, 2019 in collaboration with the West Bengal Branch of Indian Radiological and Imaging Association.
Founded in 2012 by the European Society of Radiology, ESOR has played a leading role in Education in Europe since that time and has developed international programmes.
This course in Kolkata is aimed at senior residents, board-certified pratising radiologists and fellows interested in high-quality abdominal oncologic imaging. This intense two-day programme is articulated on imaging strategies for the most common cancers in abdomen (liver, pancreas, bile ducts, and rectum) and pelvis (kidney, prostate, and female pelvis). The course will highlight technical strategies and reporting guidelines. Latest cross-sectional imaging techniques will be discussed regarding lesion detection, characterisation, staging and follow-up with radiological-pathological correlation. The most common differentials will be illustrated. I would be delighted to welcome you together with the local hosts Dr Saugata Sen and Dr. Gautam Niyogi in Kolkata.
